has all but melted away. Spots of snow exist but are not troublesome. We have had a week of very pleasant weather. That is apparently ending Monday. Rain and rain-snow are predicted for the coming week. I have really enjoyed the respite from winter so far.
A contractor from Montana has purchased the residence across the street and is preparing to flip it after a renovation. Lots of people working there this last week. The same contractor has flipped several home here in the recent past months. For you folks in the rest of the nation this would seem an irony, we are having a housing shortage and boom while many of you are dealing with foreclosures. He and Pat have had some differences about his requests in Planning and Zoning committee on which she serves. It advises the city on issues that concern planning and zoning. He is a bit pushy and brusque and Pat does not push easily.
Pat is at a quilting retreat at Kenosee Provincial Park in Canada. She will celebrate her birthday there (Nov. 6). It is about 116 miles north of us according to AAA. This is a once a year event and she really looks forward to it. It is a 3 day event so I'll have her home sometime late sunday.
