The UHaul & Truck...

...are packed and ready to go. I am POOPED! Brian and Naomi were a lot of help.
Pat is attending a "retreat" with her quilting friends at Richardson, ND, Abbey. The Brothers provide places to stay and offer some good meals. The "girls" always have a good time during this annual event. Pat will be home tomorrow late afternoon.
We still do not know what route we can take when we leave Monday early. With the flood conditions around Minot and Williston areas many roads are flooded on our normal routes. We'll find a way!!!

More packing..

in the garages.  I am placing all my hand-tools in small boxes (ease of handling) and will ship the two roll around tool boxes.
I will have to go to Minot on Thursday for medical reasons and on Friday I need to pick up the UHaul trailer.  I am hoping that Brian and family will be able to help load it over the weekend.  We will have almost entirely boxed stuff to haul.  We plan to head out on Monday morning early and reach our first stopping place in St. Cloud, MN. around 8 hours later.  We will be staying with Dale & Ona.  They are friends from our horsey days in Oregon.  They relocated a few years after we moved to ND.

Plans, plans...

We have a little bit of rain today.  I should have mowed yesterday.  Maybe this afternoon, eh?  We are getting down to the wire in packing.  Most everything we are planning to take with us on the 27th is packed and ready for loading.  Our plan is to move the books quilting supplies and hand tools in a UHaul trailer and leave the rest to the moving company (North American).
Finding a UHaul trailer has become somewhat of an issue.  Flood victims are using the size we want for temp. storage until they can get back to their homes and business'.  Monday we will find out if our local UHaul (Crosby) can accommodate us.  If not we have to go hunting.  We will see.
We will also take the little car in the first trip and leave in Crawfordsville when we are finished with home hunting and buying a home.  Then we will return to Crosby with the truck so we can move the fifth wheel trailer to Crawfordsville and finish packing.. etc..

We are....

..renters as of today!! The deal is done.
As things are now, Pat and I are going to Indiana the last week this month to find a place to buy. We will be in Crawfordsville for the fourth of July anyway. We are planning to haul a UHaul trailer full with the Dodge and we'll also drive the Saturn and leave it there. Then back to Crosby to finish packing and prepare for the moving company.
That is pretty much all for now.

RSVP REQUESTED

 I received this as an Email today.. thought it was worth sharing;

Your response will be interesting.
Pay attention to what you read.
After you have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you.
Here goes:
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need You have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like God-send and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy..
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation..
Your job is to accept the lesson,
Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life,
Whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Buyer 1..

is out of the queue.  Loan problems.  We were not surprised as they have only had one year in business.  Most lenders want 3 or more years of income info for a business.  Called the next person in the line and they will get back in a couple of days.

There are...

..now 4 buyers in the queue.  Number 1 is a local businessman, 2 is a oil rich farmer, 3 are a couple just setting out with a new baby and 4 is a person who is coming to town to work as a administrator.  I don't doubt that more will be calling.  All very exciting for us!

All is well..

we are quite busy with packing and showing the house. Sorry I have not been very good at keeping up the Blog as I should.  We are pleased with the response and expect an offer or two soon.   One person is a owner of considerable farm property with several oil wells.  He is probably a cash sale.  Another (first in line) is working on getting a loan.  He is a local businessman.  We have a new prospect with an appointment tomorrow.  We are doin' OK!
