It's raining...

..very gently on our parade as a write this.  You know, that pleasant kind of rain that often occurs in the mid-west.  I can hear a Cardinal singing too.  We have a bunch of Hummingbirds at the feeder during the day, very entertaining.
Today I will go pick up some shelving units I ordered at the Ace Hardware.  Then I can start organizing my stuff in the garage.  I also have some clothesline posts to install but I’ll paint them first to m’lady’s specification.
Our front lawn is a disaster!  The previous owner apparently sprayed it with “round-up” according to a neighbor. That will be next springs work.
We are beginning to see more garage floor all the time.  The unpacking is progressing although it is getting harder to find locations for all the stuff. The rain has stopped and a quick glance at the radar on the internet indicates that we’ve seen all we are to get.

The Quilt Machine..

..is assembled!!!

It was a miserable job but it is over. Now Pat can finish arranging the room. More shelving to install and fabric to unpack.
The Kitchen is pretty well organized and most of the stuff stowed. I'll be glad when the garage is empty of unpacked boxes.

Our life...

..is still disrupted but it is beginning to feel like our home. We are making a real dent in our packed stuff. There are still many boxes in the garage though. We had to buy a can opener yesterday- we have no idea where ours are, they'll show up.

We are...

..home!
I have the computer talking to the rest of the world and our beds are ready for a nights sleep.
Our neighbors seem pleased to have us here... so far.
We are slowly finding those things we need as the unpacking continues.
The fencing people will be here next friday to create a chain link fenced yard for Canuck.  There will be lots of room for him to run off some of the terrier exuberance that seems to build up over time.

It's..

..all here. Now we need to unpack all these @&?&! Boxes. I have no idea where stuff is, kinda like an Easter egg hunt the day after Easter.

We will...

..empty storage unit today. I need to do some work in the garden shed today. I will build a shelf (3' x 10') across the back. Most of the lumber is there already left by the previous owner. Pat is unpacking what she can from what we moved ourselves. A lot of stuff needs places to put and all that is with North American Van Lines now. Patience is required at this point.

Most of...

..the stuff in storage is moved. We will finish up tomorrow (Mon) probably in one load. All we need is North American moving to arrive. It is hard to wait! Believe me, it's hard!

We are at..

..steak 'n shake for breakfast. We have completed one load from the storage unit and will try for two more today. Want to be clear of the unit before the moving company gets here Wednesday. All is well.

We are ready..

It is...

Wednesday, Aug 10. We were supposed to get our furniture by today. I don't think so! We are ready though.
There is plenty of stuff to do and it is much easier without stuff in the way. Pat wants to do some incidental cleaning (it is really quite clean) and I have a light fixture to install in the dining room.
I invited the former owners to leave stuff in the garage they wish to discard and I'll haul it to the dump. I hope I don't regret that. So it is off to the "Big R" for cleaning supplies, TP and light bulbs this AM.

Gosh!...

..I hate to admit it but it seems that this is a very civilized area even if it is Indiana (BIG SMILE). We are in a Steak 'n Shake to feed Pat and they have WiFi. That is how I am able to talk to you.
Our washer & drier and Dish installations are today. We have a couple of loads of clothes to test with in the truck. Our "gotta do" list is much shorter now and we are READY for the movers.
God bless you all,

We are..

...ready to move in. We just don't have our furnishings yet. We do expect our stuff this week. There are so many details to attend to.
Our washer/drier will be installed tomorrow and the Dish network will be there to install also. The Radfords are still moving out. They are in their 80's and have lived in their home for 30+ years. It has not been easy for them. It is hard to be impatient with them, they are very nice people.

YAHOO!!!!..

Our furnishings are on their way and should?? be here by Friday. Everything else is running fairly smooth. The folks moving out of our home are a little slow in getting out. They are in their mid 80's and we are trying to be very patient with them. It is hard to do! We really quite comfortable in the trailer but it is not home.
After Church today we plan to drive to Lafayette to explore and shop for shelving for (what else?) fabric.
One last note: Our new home phone # (765)365-4887. The cell phones remain the same and will not change in the foreseeable future.

It is 5AM, Indiana...

...time. Pat is playing a game with friends on the Internet. We delivered the JD mower and snowblower to our new home and put the other stuff that Larry was hauling in our storage unit.
We will be signing the papers at 4 PM today and take possession on the 6th. We still don't know when our furniture will get here. That is OK as we are quite comfy in our RV.

0530 AM Today..

..we change time zones! Eastern will be our new zone.
It is warm and humid today in Madison. I don't expect much difference in Crawfordsville. The dog, Canuck, wants to go out so good bye for now..

We...

...are at the KOA in Madison, WI for the night. We stopped at the Walmart in Jamestown, ND last night. No problems so far. We expect to be in Crawfordsville in the early afternoon tomorrow. IT HAS BEEN VERY HOT ALL DAY!

We left...

...Crosby at 3:45 very soon after the movers finished loading. We are now headed to Jamestown, ND where we expect to spend the night. Larry is 100 yards behind us as I type this.

Sunday PM...

..Brian, Joyce, Naomi came over and spent the afternoon helping us finish packing. Honestly, Pat and I were overwhelmed, we could not have finished without them. Joyce then prepared a really nice meal and we had a very nice family "last meal". It is very hard to leave them all behind. We find tears very close to the surface.
Friends drop by... It is so hard to leave. Pat and I have made some very good friends here, we will miss them a lot.
We expect the movers here around 9AM tomorrow. When they leave we will also. Probably sometime between noon and 2 PM.
